I found this article to be very interesting and insightful. Mint is a company that tracks individual’s spending and has 900,000 registered users. They have seen their membership quadruple since September. Proof that often times start-up success is in the timing.
My Grandfather had the habit of tracking everything he ever purchased with pen and paper and later typewriter. While doing a family research project in high school I came across this information along with an autobiography he had written prior to his death. I found it all to be absolutely fascinating and somewhat obsessive that he tracked every expenditure in his adult life. Although I don’t use mint as of yet, I think it is obviously a valuable asset to consumer, corporations, and general public knowledge as evident by this story.
